Do you have visiting the Peloton Studios on your bucket list? Well, I’ve been there tons of time, including the original studios on 23rd Street — previously known as the Mothership. Here I’m sharing tips on visiting Peloton in NYC or PSNY. This includes some fresh tips I’ve just updated.

Mark your calendar for Thursdays at 12 noon Eastern. That’s when bookings for classes at PSNY (Peloton Studios New York) and PSL (Peloton Studios London) open for live, in-person experiences five weeks in the future. You’ll need patience and my tips to successfully get the classes you want to take.

How the New Systems at Peloton Studios Work

When Peloton Studios reopened a few years ago in their new location, everything about visiting PSNY changed. This includes the location, moving from Chelsea to Hudson Yards on Manhattan’s West Side. Now you get these jelly bracelets for each class you take.
How to Get Off the Peloton Studios Waitlist

If you don’t get into a class of your choice with Thursday bookings, it’s not the end of the world. Peloton has a robust waitlist system that I’ve used dozens of times to take classes. You Can Leave Your Shoes at Home

If you forget your shoes when visiting PSNY, don’t worry. Much like a bowling alley, now you can rent shoes for the Peloton cycling classes. And when I say rent, I mean you can borrow them for free. Not sure about how Peloton shoes fit? Here are Peloton shoes for wide feet.
Booking a Hotel Near Peloton Studios

Celebrating Peloton Milestones in Person

I’ve been lucky enough to time certain Peloton milestones to a visit to the Peloton Studios. Most recently this included my 750th walk and my 1700th ride. And celebrating my last birthday by taking live classes there. If you can time your milestones to a visit to PSNY, it will be awesome. I promise.
Save Money on Food at PSNY

You can absolutely buy food and drink when you’re at PSNY but you’ll pay handsomely for it. Here’s the trick I use every time I go to the Peloton Studios: I visit the Whole Foods next door and buy bananas, yogurt and more. Best of all: Because I have Amazon Prime, I get discounted pricing.
Visiting Peloton London Studios

Many Peloton users have discovered a secret about taking classes at Peloton Studios: it’s much easier to get a spot at the Peloton London studios. Sure, this might require a trip overseas. But if you can ride with your favorite British and German instructors, then it’s worth it. So, perhaps the most unexpected tip about PSNY is this: if you can’t get into a class there, try the London studios instead.

One of the great things about the Peloton Studios New York location is how close it is to the New York City High Line, the former elevated railroad line that is now an elevated public park. You can get onto the High Line from the plaza just outside PSNY. It’s a lovely mile-plus walk above NYC traffic.
